Spec for Sway of the Knife

Synopsis

“Khanh,” the mentally ill street-wanderer, encounters his estranged half-brother, “Michael” and his half-brother’s friend, “Matthew” during one of his routine panhandling circuits. Michael and Matthew ignore Khanh but the familiarity between the two Vietnamese-American men does not go undetected by the latter.

Michael and Matthew continue on their walk and the conversation slips into an unapologetic, irreverent rambling on the unique “homelessness problem” in Portland. Following this is a dream-like exchange across time and space between Michael and Khanh.
